Write your mother a poem describing your relationship with her, giving thanks for being blessed by having her for your mother. If you live close you could write her a "check book" write out on each "check" a list of things you can do for her and that she can cash in on when she wants or nneds to.
They can range from doing special chores for her, like cleaning or gardening, preparing a meal, sharing a movie with her, going for a walk in a park together, or to a gallery or museum. Or you may be able to also offer to do her nails, give her a facial or foot massage. The options are as limited as your imagination.

If you only have a little, maybe you could get her a gift certificate to a nice restaurant. (Maybe she'll even take you out with her!) Or I think it would be nice to get a certificate booklet from my own children, and you can make that yourself. Like with a free hug coupon, a doing the dishes without complaint coupon, a babysitting without complaint coupon., etc. Moms sometimes have to do everything themselves, and especially when they work outside the home too, they get tired. I know I would've liked to have hot meals waiting for me when I got home, instead of go to work, get home, make dinner, do dishes, blah, blah. Try to find ways to help your mother, and to help lighten her load. You may be suprised what a difference little things can make! And it also helps you look like you are maturing, and may even get you more responsibility and priviledges. A pretty boquet of flowers makes my day too. You can get nice, inexpensive flowers at Krogers, Aldi's, Just check around. (I like the boquets of clolored daisy's at Kroger, they are just so pretty to look at and the colors make me smile.) I hope I gave you some thing you can use...

Take a digital picture of you and your siblings, father, or just of you, buy some picture printing paper and a picture frame, print the picture out for your mom and put it in the frame...voila..an inexpensive birthday present, that your mom will love because you put thought into it! I would love my son to do something like that for me :-)

Anything from the heart will be much more appreciated than what you spend in cash. Spend time with her...show her how much you appreciate everything she's done for you. Offer to clean her house, chores, etc. Money isn't everything when it comes to matters of the heart.

Nice diner a big truly kiss and hug, but something I know she'll love more than anything is that if you have any doubt or problem so you feel free to tell her anything, she'll love your confidence to her.

A home-made card, and a hug!

Doesn't get much cheaper, and shows more love than any store bought gift, ever could. :)
