Its in the middle of nowhere, but its not that bad. I dont like a few things about that area, and the first is the weather. In the winter its really cold, and the summers are really hot and humid.

The schools around that base are pretty good. Its a small town so you shouldnt be too scared for your kids. Norfolk and VA Beach are within a few hours driving.

My kids like the schools there. There are lots of Army brats so you fit right in. I know what you mean about changing schools often for the kids, but my kids adjusted fast.
