Guy I was dating wants to just be friends but still wants to hang out, talk and emails all the time. Is the friend thing permanent you think?

I can only say that if I told a girl I wanted to be friends only, I probably was not attracted to her in the way I need in a g/f. However, he MUST care for you because he still wants you in his life. I'd suggest staying friends and finding another guy to date.

As a woman you will always have control over a situation like this one. The gentleman wants to try and be intimate with other people, and still keep a "friendly" relationship with you because you will be there if he needs you. So yes it can change if YOU want it to.

My personal opinion is...

If a guy want's to "just be friends"... it's for one of 2 reasons:

1) he has another love interest.
2) he's not attracted to you.

IF the former's the reason: that will change if the situation changes.

If it's the LATTER, it probably will never change.

well the truth it depends if this took place a long time ago yes it probably is permanent but if he really cares then no it could change i guess it depends what kind of guy he is.
