i just pulled up a laminate floor for the wood floor beneath it and the adhesive stayed put. It's a really bad, gummy, grayish glue...does anyone have any experience getting this stuff off?

Get in touch with a manufacturer of the stuff.
Find a can at a store or go on-line, find someone who makes this type of stuff, and they should know how to get it off.
Another alternative is to contact a local handyman or flooring contractor to see what they can tell you.
Good luck!

there's a product called Helmar eliminate cleanser or HRZERO made especially for cleansing any kinds of adhesives. There are extremely a lot of diverse eliminate cleanser, yet those are the in hardship-free words 2 that don't have the coolest solvent smells you suggested above. The scent is an orange scent & become designed to speciaficlly no longer have the coolest chemical scent. you may google for both one among those. good success

Goo gone is good but does have mild chemical. Not strong smelling doesn't require use of gloves...Read carefully may take off some finish, but if your going to redo the floor won't matter. but it is the mildest that I know of. If you soak it off can warp floor unless the have been polyurethaned heavy. Shiny clear gloss finish. :-)
