That's what it means. It doesn't make PERFECT sense but I c&p'd what you typed out & that's what came up.

It basically means:
"What happened is that i have had a lot of work. And you? How has it been with your job?"
That kind of thing. Kind of hard to get a direct translation, but it's that general idea.
