if youa are going to make a cake or ckes in the shape of numbers for an event with number say a graduation year for your kids party freeze the cake first and then shape the numbers or letters I saw it for a graduation party for a guy that graduated in "2006" and they also took records that were old and put then on a upsidedown glass measuring cup put it all in the oven and it shaped the record in to a bowl how freakin cool is that or use any glass dish upside down to shape the record but I did not here what tempture she put the stove on because my husband was talking to someone on the phone. but that was truly cool.

Freezing the cake is a very good tip, thanks. You can find old LP's at thrift stores for really cheap if you want to experiment with the oven temp.
