It is always better to call the DMV office and double check. No sense in standing in line for an hour, and having to find out you have to be scheduled, before they can help you.

Usually just walk in.It's a written test, easyeasyeasy. But,you will learn as you grow older and deal with the DMV that your best bet is to get there early in the AM and be first in line.Otherwise you may find yourself there for an hour or two, depending on the size of your town.
Good luck.Don't drink and drive.Drive defensively, your not in a race.Speeding will NOT get you there ANY faster, slow down!.

Go to dmv.org and look up your state, and see what it says about obtaining your learners permit.
