Yesturday morining I check my kitten to see if she has fleas, I first check the ear because thats where the fleas are then when I see stuff that looked like fleas I took one out of that area and I freaked out, I called my sister for reassurance and when she felt it, it felt flaky but I was half asleep so I still feaked out. When I came back from work I went straight to the bathroom to try to wash the flea eggs off but when I was done there was no "flea eggs" anymore so was it flea eggs or dandruff??

Flea eggs are white and very very tiny. They will be left in the pets bedding if the pet has lots of fleas. They are oval, and "pop" when you squish them under your fingernail. Flea poop is the little black specks you see...it is digested blood and will turn red when wet.

Usually you will not have flea eggs unless you have had fleas. You can use a flea shampoo made for cats and not the Hartz brand! It was more than likely dandruff and the cat washed and got rid of it. Brush your cat daily and inspect for fleas. Or use Revolution or Advantage and it will take care of fleas for a month at a time. Again, don't use the Hartz brand because it is not regulated on strength and I have seen cats have seizures from it!

Can You See Flea Eggs

You have to have fleas before you get eggs. If you wet a paper towel and rub it on the cat especially toward the rear and find red on the paper towel that is flea poop. It is easier to detect than eggs, so it sounds like dandruff. I got a cat that was riddled with fleas and found that constant coming alone helped me to rid her of them. It took some time, but I enjoyed popping the little buggers when they got stuck in the come. (I know how it sounds, but they are little blood suckers)

I would assume the kitten has fleas, as most felines get them at some time in their lives. My vet advised me to treat my cat continually, either with something that you put in its food or drops that you put on the back of the neck that last about a month. My cat would not eat its food when the additive was put in, so I now use Frontline drops, only available from the vet. You will also need to spray your carpets and cats bedding with household flea spray to kill any eggs that might be there and subsequently reinfect the cat.
The treatment also depends on the kittens age, some treatments are too harsh for very young kittens, so the best advice is a trip to the vet, they will put your mind at rest.

you should check if your cat has fleas or not, if it doesn't it is less likely to have flea eggs. Now it may be dandruff OR lice.. you can always have a magnifying glass and try to see what it looks like. Go to the vet so it can be addressed correctly.

Dandruff. if your cat had that many flea eggs you would notice loads of fleas also. Flea eggs can only be combed out. and can only be killed with proper treatment from vets

Fleas make flea dirt or poop, like specks of dried blood or pepper. If your cat has pepper looking stuff close to his skin then he has fleas. Fleas look like flax seeds and jump. Eggs I don't know about.
