Creatine and Glutimine are used PRIOR to a work out to slow down muscle fatigue and extend your work outs. Creatine has a reputation as being a bit of a crutch, and people can get dependent on it to get through excessive work outs (something to consider).

Protein is for recovery AFTER. Protein is essential after a work out since this is the material your muscles use to recover, heal and build with. Recovery is what makes muscle's bigger adding mass to do a heavier load next time... The muscles demand protein in order to rebuild effectively. If you are working out to gain size you need a MINIMUM of say 90 grams a day (for men) or you will not be getting to far. 200 plus is really excessive unless you are going out for Mr. Olympia or something. That would just be hard on the liver too.

20 minutes before your work out be carful with the kind of creatine your using if its not monohydrate than you have to drink alot of water or you can pull muscles... using monohydrate creatine doesnt give you water weight like the old kind so it is safer to take before practice and stuff like that....
