They just can't stand it that alternative sources of news now exist. Why? Doesn't the First Amendment apply to conservatives and liberals and everyone else for that matter? Are they trying to silence conservatives because they themselves are convinced deep down in parts of themselves that they don't want to admit exist that they are actually wrong?

Fox is the only news i can watch. Unlike any other news network they report the news the way it is. When i watch cnn and stuff i the anchors and reporters always add their personal opionion on the news and thats wrong. I have never seen fox reporters do that and thats why i stick with fox, becasue they are truly fair and balanced.

There's nothing wrong with FOX news. What's wrong is calling it "news" when it's nearly all opinion.

Bias is only found by those with a bias, so what can you do. Only Conservatives think that mainstream media is lefty, and liberals complain about FOX and talk radio being righty. That's the way it goes.

As far as I'm concerned, FOX is a slightly less religious version of TBN news and the 700 Club.

I find it thoroughly amusing that someone just wrote that the other side is only comfortable being told what to believe, when that's exactly what FOX news is about. It's for Conservatives, right? So, it's a place for Conservatives to gather and agree with each other. Thus it's only "the truth" for those with that opinion. Personally, I prefer facts. The best news - even about American issues - comes from other countries. A smart person reviews several sources and makes decisions based on a variety of reports. That's how you find the truth. It's not by being told what to believe by Bill O'Reilly.

No, they don't like that an alternative exist that actually tells the conservative point of view. Liberals believe that conservatives are dangerous and the only their ideas should exist. This is a perfect example of how the libs scream about the Constitution being violated constantly and yet they would like to take first amendment rights away from those who disagree with them.

The First Amendment protects our right to free speech, and to criticize our government without fear of repercussions. Most people today believe "freedom of speech" gives us the right to use dirty, vulgar language and say anything anywhere without regard to other's feelings or without being part of a civil society.
I doubt that many hard-core liberals watch Fox News. First of all because it isn't "news" - it's a the epitome of the Conservative-biased media and a particular agenda that allows half-truths, misleading 'reporting', and outright lies to be broadcast to those with insufficient intelligent to form their own opinions. Just as Hitler's 'news reels' were fodder force-fed to a German public, Shawn Hannity, Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and others shout their toxic waste propaganda to an unsuspecting public by passing it off as "news", when in fact it is nothing more than sheer brainwashing. If any of these toxic talking heads were at all well-informed, they would allow fairness, accuracy, balance, and objectivity to be part of their programs. That scares them only because they're too cowardly to admit they aren't all that smart when it comes to the subject matter they so recklessly spout without any objectivity. All bullies are essentially cowards - and they only maintain control over their victims with cruelty and abusive strategies. The right-wing media, of which all major media conglomerates are co-conspirators by the very nature of their capitalist gluttony, spews hatred, which begets hatred. That's why our country is more politically divided today than ever before.
CBS, NBC, and ABC are only puppets for the government, reading verbatim from White House-issued press releases without any in-depth investigation or questioning whether what they 'report' is correct and accurate information. They play no role anymore as the 'fourth estate' which at one time was the watchdog of America, questioning what our government did and seeking out illegal, corrupt, or incompetent conduct on the part of elected officials and government bureaucrats.
Today, news departments are run by bean counters whose only concern is the bottom line. Profitability trumps truthfulness, veracity, honesty and authenticity everytime. -RKO-

Some liberals think that CBS isn't liberal. Now THATS funny. From a moderate perspective, Fox is conservative and CBS/NBC are liberal.

I'd say that some liberals are SO LIBERAL that they can't recognize liberal news in moderate news clothing when they see it. And that make them hate Fox all the more.

Since T.V was invented, the New York liberals first got their mitts on the News. From Edward R. Murrow thru Cronkite,to the 60 minute gang the Liberals had COMPLETE control of how we saw the News. How we percieved the Viet Nam conflict. How many of you were taught it was Nixons war when actually,Kennedy got us in Johnson escalated it to madness and it took Nixon to get out with as much honor as he could(which wasn't much.We looked bad and could have beaten the crap out of them no thanks to congress)When Limbaugh came along in the late 80's the Libs went berserk!"How dare he tell the real story!?"Then Fox came along ,Sean Hannity,Mike Savage,Mike Reagan,Glenn Beck ,Laura Ingraham, and many others. Thanks to all them we consevatives took back Congress in 94 after 40 yrs.and have had a semi-conservative Pres. for 6.They try everyday to muzzle our conservative media be aware of that.

I have no problem with alternative news, or even bias, as we know we will get that at Fox!

The difference is they say they are fair and truthful which is a lie!

To slant news is one thing, to make up news that they KNOW is a lie, fire a broadcaster for refusing to air it, and then air it, is not News. It is Lies pretending to be News fed to you like pablum with a kids spoon!

By the way, a judge in Florida, after Fox was sued by the broadcaster for false termination, found for Fox, saying IT IS OK FOR THE NEWS TO LIE!!! Duh!! I think many corporate attorneys would have a different view. Fox , like Bush, think they are above the law!

If they are going to Lie they should tell you it is a lie!

They hate that Fox news because they realize that is the most popular network. Because is shows them just how much most Americans are sick of their doom and gloom, anti-american views. Ever since Dan Rather was exposed as a lying radical lefty, America has shifted to the right for their news coverage. And that just drives lefties nutz.

Do some research on the subject. All news is Conservative owned and all news is bias. I do not watch TV for that reason. All media is also Conservative bias and all print is controlled by Conservatives.
That is fact and I did not see that on FOX news.
