anti- depressants are forms of steroids. and if you didn't know, steroids can cause weight gain (anywhere from 10-30lbs) which is usually difficult to lose.

They don't make you gain weight. Eating too much makes you gain weight.
A side effect of Elevil is that it gives you a big appetite. Others, like Zoloft or Prozac do not affect eating habits. But, they improve the feelings of depression. If you are depressed, you may not feel like eating, or doing anything, for that matter. When the depression lifts, you feel better and your desire for food returns.

I have put on some weight, i am a lot happier in myself on my tablets. I dont like the weight creeping up but i know if i stopped my medication then i would be very ill.

alot of medications cause weight gain. even medications that are over the counter.

You're less sad, so you go out more with friends, and then you end up eating and drinking more.

when you are depressed you eat, you eat becasue your depressed
