Honda are great cars but now there are many good ones competing with them in the same areas. Nissan's and Toyota's are very good cars but can sometimes get pricier. Actually Hyundai is making a comeback in the market with some nice cars at lower prices. Stick with foreign cars since they seem to last longer with higher miles on them. Acura is nice...basically consider them better Honda but once again can get pricey. VW nice buy once again can get pricey. Try to check for a nice little Nissan or maybe a small Toyota. Just stay away from Suzuki, Geo, and do stick with something from one of the other foreign brands.

NISSAN ALTIMAS ARE VERY RELIABLE..... AND COSTS ABOUT 50% LESS THAN HONDAS AND TOYOTAS.
PLUS IT HAS A TIMING CHAIN, THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IF YOU BUY A HONDA OR A TOYOTA AND THE THEIR TIMING BELT BREAKS, THE ENGINE WILL BE FRIED. YOU'LL HAVE TO PAY $3000 FOR A WHOLE NEW ENGINE.
TEXANMEDIC IS CLUELESS. HE SAYS TO STAY AWAY FROM ALL GEOS.... BUT THE GEO PRISM IS A REBADGED TOYOTA COROLLA. SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THE HELL HE'D SAY THAT. PRISM IS CHEAPER TO BUY THAN COROLLA BECAUSE JUST LIKE THIS CLUELESS SALESMAN, THE PUBLIC DOESN'T KNOW IT'S REALLY A TOYOTA.

An Acura (yeah, I know it's the same as a Honda, but it's still a good car). Toyota's are also good, but tend to be expensive when compared with similar class models of the same year.

You would be hard pressed to find something better than the Toyota Camry, or Toyota Corolla. They are reliable, fuel efficient, and have a good track record on needed repairs.

I have a Honda Accord, which has over 300,000 miles on it, but if you want alternatives, try a Toyota Corolla, these are very good cars or try a Subaru. Other good cars are Kia, Volvo or Saturn.
