Of course not! Life is a continual learning process; every day you learn something new. If we were to know EVERYTHING, then we would be as God! Or our brains would burst with all that knowledge, and too much knowledge is a dangerous thing.
Just because a person does not subscribe to one particular belief or another doesn't mean that they are "evil" or "negative". It means that they are following their own spiritual path, irrespective of what anyone else believes, because it's what makes them comfortable. Parochial outlooks close the world to accepting that there IS "more to this world and this life". Everyone's opinions, experiences and life lessons contribute towards the pool of knowledge.

How does my choosing not to believe kill the hopes of other?
I freely admit that I don not have all the answers, and I thin that anyone who thinks they do is pretty damn arrogant.
And I'm pretty certain that there is more for us to know, and that something will b revealed when it's suppose to be. But, in the mean time, I'm not going to be following the teachings of some made up hogwash.

No one person could possibly know everything; including myself. I freely admit that and before the end of my life I still won't know everything.
As far as optimism goes, I am a very optimistic person because I believe in the good of humanity.

I do not know everything, in fact no one knows everything absolutely. I don't know for a fact that the sun will rise tomorrow, but I know from evidence and logic that the chances are high. I don't know that unicorns and elves don't exist, but logic dictates that chances are low. The same is true for the existence of a god. Do I know for a fact that no god exists? No, but I never said I did. I just lack the belief in a god because there is no credible evidence. By asserting that a god does exist, theists are implying that they know everything. Yet you don't criticize them, why is that?

Hang on. You're accusing us of thinking we know everything but you think that you know for absolutely certain with no evidence whatsoever just because a book told you that there is a God that created this universe?
Who's the presumptuous one?

I'm perfectly willing to admit that. What I wonder is whether you are.
I am very optimistic, btw, and trust lots of people. There is nothing negative about my beliefs.

I don't know everything! But are you asking me to believe in things that don't make any sense? Why would I do that? And why are there things we're not meant to know?

I absolutely know that I do not know everything. That is why I cannot follow any religion that does claim to know these things. Do you think you could answer your own question?

What I dont know, I dont attribute to a invisible being. If you attribute everything to a god, you stop looking and learning.

Of course I can admit that I don't know everything, you'd have to be crazy not to.
