Maybe they only managed to get 2 Bombs in and they're waiting until they have 10. Or maybe they're waiting for the state of the union address so they can blow up the entire US government at once.

As much as the government would like to argue otherwise, I don't think that there is any doubt that terrorists could get a bomb into the US and detonate it, if they could get their hands on one.

The problem (from the terrorists point of view) is in acquiring a bomb that is small enough to transport and is in good enough condition to reliably detonate.

There probably aren't any nations in the world willing to give or sell a nuke to terrorists. They know that while they can get away with covertly supporting terrorists operating in Iraq, Afghanistan, & Lebanon they would never get away with supplying a nuke that blew up in Tel Aviv or Manhatten. It is a line that, so far, no terror supporting nation is willing to cross.

by chance yes...

but as said Chirac 2-3 years ago , any country who try to attack france by any means (terrorism or whatever), could face consequences included a nuclear attack.

this mean, if a country has a terrorist program to "atack" a country, France will counterattack with atomic power if they decide to.

this is why people dont mess with france.
same thing with the USA.
