Bide your time........

Alot of times it is actually the "black sheep" that turns out the best because they learn early on how to care for themselves and how to get what they want out of life. My husband was every family's nightmare and he is now more successful than his brothers both emotionally and financially.

Just make sure to stay out of jail......

Today, I'm proud to be the "black sheep" in my family. I used to feel really bad about it. Because I didn't "fit in" (and I didn't want to), I tried to get my family to accept my "differences" (losing proposition).

Then one day, I saw an aunt I hadn't seen in many years (she moved away from the family). She told me with a wink and a smile, that we had something in common - we were both "black sheep". My aunt had lived such a loving and productive life, that I realized that I was "proud" to be a "black sheep" just like this wonderful woman. I no longer wanted my family to stop regarding me as the "black sheep"; I embraced the title and used my "black sheep" traits productively.

It is possible, and satisfying to turn a negative into a positive. Good luck.

I've always been the black sheep of my family. It seems like I don't do anything right. It took me awhile to adjust to that; even though except it. I've gradually ignore the situation, even though it does hurt. Try to not think about it. And remeber you are a person and you have feelings too. And other people should know that, if it bothers you that much. I did speak up,and there has been some changes, but you still have that feeling that you can't do anything right or to other peoples perfection. If you are happy in what you do, than heck with other peoples judgements. Good luck with everything and I hope I helped you.

I used to be the black sheep of my family. I just concentrated on myself and showed everyone. I got a good education, a college degree, I have a good paying wonderful job, a house of my own and a wonderful family. I know it hurts your feelings, but, concentrate on yourself and your own family

You move very very far away like I did and then you only have to see these negative people once every couple of years or so.

You just let them know that you are who you are and that's not going to change just because they don't agree with your choices.
