This is from google.com, and I remember years and years ago my daddy used to tell me he'd give me a sawbuck if I did some chore. But I haven't heard that word since I was a little girl and I'm old!
A sawbuck is $10, from the crossed legs of a sawhorse, an x, the roman numberal 10.
A double sawbuck is $20.
