How can you say that WE are really JAMMY, Shame on you.
Dick Campbell as assembled a really solid squad at Firhill, Especially through the Teams Backbone, That's 3 competative games unbeaten and things are looking good for the Jags.
As for winning promotion. In1st Division you have to Win the League to be promoted and I'm afraid that Gretna will be Champions this year, Nobody else in the 1st Division can compete with the money that Gretna are spending on players and wages.
That to me this is a blessing in disguise for Thistle because the last 2 times we've made the SPL we got there a bit too early (From 2nd Division to SPL in 2 years), and we were not equipt for the SPL and were relegated at the 1st attempt both times.
This time, a year or two in the 1st Division will enable us to strenghten our squad sufficiently enough so that when we DO get promoted to the SPL we'll have a good chance to staying up and going from strength to strength.
Just look at the likes of Inverness, St.Mirren, Falkirk and Kilmarnock (lol). These are all clubs who I consider as being smaller Teams than The Famous Partick Thistle.
So there is no reason why we shouldn't be an SPL team, We have a decent enough Stadium and a Loyal support and we can pull a big support when we're needed to get behind the team or when the bigger teams come to Firhill.
I know I've been a bit long winded, but you hit a nerve with me, I'm sure you that. So I think we're in for an exciting season up in Maryhill and I for one am REALLY looking forward to it.
And a REAL promotion push is NOT beyond us, BUT I would rather wait a year or two so we are really prepared for life in the SPL

too early to tell. They are on of the main contenders for the league in my opinion, along with Gretna, St Johnstone and Dundee.
I hope they do well, but hopefully Dundee will be crowned champions at the end of the season. (not looking good so far though!)

It would be good if they could replace one of the other Glasgow teams, then maybe the Bully wee could replace the other. Wouldn't the SPL be a nicer place? Must go and get my medication now.

I think they will be the only team to challenge Gretna but I think they won't make it this year but should be a definite for next.
