it involves onions and garlic. I want to know who has a great way to get the smell of onions and garlic off your hands after you cut them up. I try washing and washing, but to no avail, they still stink. I need to know what will work.

I have a stainless steel sink and just rub it against that then rinse off with cold water and the garlic smell is gone.
Try rubbing your hands with a large stainless steel spoon then rinse under cold water.
I also have heard of cutting a large piece of citrus fruit like a lemon and rubbing that in your hand then rinsing. You can also get rid of the smell of onions and garlic from your cutting board by sprinkling salt on the cut half of the lemon and rubbing it on the board. The salt is an abrasive and the acid from the lemon breaks down the juices.
Good Luck!!

I use garlic A LOT in my cooking. Best thing to do that smells good. Wash your hands then take cooking vanilla and pour into you hands and rub in like lotion, then just rinse off. It kills the smell and leaves a nice touch of the vanilla sent on your skin.

that,s tuff but if you can,t buy the litle plastic sanitary gloves they have at sandwich shops then try first rinsing hands with very cold water then in between or when you are done wash with soap an cold water this keeps your skin tight and closes your pores more so your skin will not absorb the juices as much or at all

I like using that kitchen soap from Bath and Body Works. I bought one of those stainless steal things, which first of all was stupid because my faucet is stainless steal and I could have rubbed my fingers on that...it was a waste second of all because it doesnt work!

for the smell in the kitchen, cut open an apple and place it in the middle of the kitchen and for your hands, slice up a lime and then rub it on your hands.
