First, what do you mean by "trust". I live in SE Michigan (yes Dearborn and much of Metro Detroit is inhabited by Muslims) and Muslims work, attend school and religious functions without too many problems.

However, when it comes to the rallys, the hatred for the US, UK, Israel etc. really is shown. Many of the Muslims who live in this area were born in this area and are therefore, US Citizens. Most consider themselves Muslims first, then whatever their ethnic background is, and then US citizens. Some have even said that they are ashamed to be US citizens.

For GrandmaSusie who wondered about the call to prayer (azan), yes, it is legally mandated that mosques may broadcast the azan 5 times DAILY on loudspeakers from 6 am to 10 pm. The Al Islah mosque in Hamtramck, MI won their court case. The call to prayer states, "Allah is great…Mohammed is Allah's prophet…come to prayer. There is no god but Allah."

In the Metro-Detroit area there is the largest concentration of Muslims outside the Middle East.

Bint Jebail--also spelled "Bint Jbeil"--located in southern Lebanon and very close to the border, is the key Hezbollah stronghold. Thousands of Detroit area Muslims (the majority of whom are Shi'ite) come from the Bint Jbeil area, and they support Hezbollah. Bint Jbeil's Mayor, Haj Ali Bazzi, is a U.S. citizen, with a Michigan Driver's License and an American passport. Even though he cannot speak English, he spent a short time in Dearborn and--voila!--American citizenship was served up.

The Bint Jebail Cultural Center located in Dearborn, MI was founded in 1994. Incredibly, American taxpayers subsidize this "cultural center," since it has 501(c)(3) tax-deductible status. In 2004, the year of its last tax return on file, the club spent over $85,000 on "cultural and religious seminars and lectures," most of them extremist. While it operates mostly as a banquet facility, the Bint Jebail Cultural Center is also used as a frequent meeting place for Hezbollah supporters.

There have been court cases to allow children to have federally funded halal lunches and to have a room set aside for Friday prayers.

Sometimes Michigan prosecutes Muslims for violating laws, like Medicaid fraud for women who get state medical funding to have their baby obtain a US birth certificate and then go back to the Middle East, or for business owners who send funds to terrorist organizations like Hezbollah.

In nearby Canada Muslims have petitioned to have Sharia law.

Muslims have an obligation to purge fitnah from the world. Sayyid Qutb, an Islamic scholar, writes that the world would be a utopia under Islamic theocracy. Islam is a political as well as a religious system.

I wonder what this country is coming too! So many of the current generation think you can talk these facists into seeing things our way. Osama said this would be the case. It scares me to think that after 200 years and all shed blood one generation of soft cowards will sit on their butt and let Iran, Osama, Hezbollah, Hamas, and God knows who else turn America into glow in the dark walking dead while they talk about how to turn this around.

With all due respect you need to get your facts straight too because that rally was to protest what's seen as overly aggressive actions toward Lebanon by Israel and in support of the general Lebanese population...not in support of Muslim terrorists.
