I don't belive in Hell. However, I feel that if a person commits suicide they are doing an injustice to them selves. And when the person has commit ed this act, the family/friends that await on the other side are the ones that the (suicidal person) will have to deal with. The suicidal person will have to succumb to the tongue lashing from the others who have gone before him/her. It won't be a happy reunion. The suicidal person will have to repeat these lessons in every incarnation continuously until they get it right.

Well, I don't really know, no one does. My brother killed himself many years ago, he was a wonderful person, excellent surgeon and good father. He was in a horrible car accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down and although he tried to accept his disability he was not successful. He killed himself a couple years after his accident. When I looked at his body in the morgue he was no longer paralyzed and I felt he was finally at peace. I hope that he is in a better place but I don't really know.

No. Although suicide is considered a selfish act (or a sin), Christ forgave them for it the moment they let Jesus into their hearts. Believers who commit suicide are secure for Heaven. They have been since long before the Earth was created.

Non-believers, on the other hand, it just depends on what happens during the last seconds of life. Sad but true.

Nobody "goes to hell." It is so illogical to really think that a single "Higher Power" decides who's good and who's bad ... don't you think? I mean, do you really think that there is a single way that you have to act in order to make certain that your soul lives forever? What about people who sin inadverantly? For example, some people truly believe that it is sinful to eat pork, and they have a reason to think that. But some people truly believe otherwise ... so you really think that a single entity just decides who is right or wrong? That's why I say nobody goes to hell. Or heaven either, for that matter.

I feel the need to clarify for you:

Suicide breaks 2 commandments. Of course "Thou shalt not murder. But most importantly the 1ST COMMANDMENT THOU SHALT NOT HAVE ANY OTHER GODS BEFORE ME!

Taking your own life is taking God's place as the giver and taker of life. HE decides not you. That is why this is such a grave sin. You spend your last act on this earth saying "I choose when I die!"

There is a chance that God will consider repentance in the last seconds of life. But don't count on it.

You bring up the issue of culpability, or how accountable someone is for their sin.

The answer is, no-one really knows in a specific case. People who commit suicide are sometimes not thinking clearly, and if one is not in his right mind, he is not as culpable for an offense. This is why Jesus tells us not to judge.

I feel that suicide is a sin, but not an unpardonable one. God sees the whole picture, and people don't just off themselves without a reason.

God understands and forgives all kinds of sin...presume that God has your best interests at heart, if you can.

I believe that if you relized what you were doing after you killed yourself you will make it to Heaven. God is all forgiving so I'm sure he'd give them a chance. I also know that if the person had mental problems then he would go straight to Heaven, but God is the juge so when you go to Heaven you will know for sure.

This is bullsh!t. Suicide isn't a sin. If one lived a life without being evil, why should one be punished for taking one's own life? Does not make sense.
