I actually daren't say it looks really lovely. Do you like it? are you pleased with it? do all your friends tell you how nice it looks, and how much it suits you?
If the answer to all these questions is 'yes', then it must be really great.
The reason I daren't tell you how marvellous I think it is, is because I can't see it. I know there are questions on here that are a bit, well, just for fun really, but yours is different.
You see, there's a story called 'The Emperor's New Clothes'. The stupid Emperor got all the best tailors in the land to make him a new suit of clothes. When the new clothes were ready, he paraded in them all around town, so that all his subjects could admire him in his new clothes.
I told you he was stupid; the tailors, knowing what a stupid vain man he was, decided to rip him off. They pretended to get the finest cloths. In fact there was no cloth at all. Only really bright, intelligent people can see this cloth, they told the emperor.
Oh, I can see it, of course, said the emperor. It's lovely cloth!
The tailors carried on making the suit. Word spread round that only bright intelligent people could see this cloth. When the suit was finally ready, the emperor put it on and went out in the streets wearing it.
The emperor and the people didn't want anyone to think they were stupid because they couldn't see the new outfit. 'Oh, it's marvellous' they all said
Of course it took a child to say 'he isn't wearing anything is he!? he's starkers!'
So is your hair really fabulous? Probably. Can I see it? no. Am I going to say it's marvellous? well am I?
If you have read all this you deserve a wow, it's the most fantastic new hairstyle I have ever seen! where did you get it done? must see if my hairdresser can do something like that for me!
