Yes you can. But it's in your best interest to file an application as soon after January 1st of the upcoming school year as possible. For instance, next fall will be the start of the 2007-2008 school year, and that application will be available online on January 1st, 2007.
Regarding the current, or soon to start school year, 2006-2007, you can still file an application. Even after school starts you can file, and possibly recieve reimbursement for funds already paid. The application's deadline is never until the end of each school year.

Submit 2005-2006 Corrections on the Web forms by midnight Central Daylight time, September 15, 2006.
Submit 2006-2007 FAFSA on the Web Applications by midnight Central Daylight time, July 2, 2007.

Yes you can, but the deadline for 2006-2007 is right around the corner, if it hasn't passed already. Otherwise you're filling one out for 2007-2008.

no you cant. but the application for 2007-2008 starts soon. just go to the fafsa website for more information

yeah but it won't help after the deadline... which is in February I think (too late for this year)
