My friend is dating a married man,and she is depressed because he is on the verge of breaking up with her because of the wife finding out. She told me she is going to kill him and then herself. She has been acting really weird and quiet,i think she might do it.

1) if he'd cheat on his wife, He'll most likely cheat on her and he is not worth having anyway.

2) she'll need a friend, just stay close and comfort her as much as she needs, reassure her he is not worth holding on to.

3) she may want to talk to a counselor, I'm sure she is a better woman than her 'lover' is a man. He's already proved that by cheating on his wife. Many churches will provide pastoral counseling at no cost.

4) I say it again be a friend, let her know how important she is to people around her.

5) he's already damaged to his life. He will have to live the emotional burden of having a mistress for a long long time even if his wife doesn't find out. Don't kill him, he's not worth it.

If you think she may be serious you should contact proper authorities or the man if nothing else. I don't feel sorry for her, she brought her depression on her self she should have not messed with a married man. Then again it would be nice it people like her and the married cheating man did not exist.

It is time to get her some help. Do not wait for her to do something REALLY STUPID. Even though her relationship WAS REALLY selfish and stupid (i.e., not thinking about the consequences and hurting other people such as the wife and kids). Number 1) REMEMBER the first rule - threats of violence PROCEED VIOLENCE. 2) THREATS to harm oneself IS DANGEROUS...that means they DO NOT CARE IF THEY HURT ANYONE else 3) CAN YOU LIVE with the OUTCOME if you do NOTHING?
In these cases....IT IS NOT JUST TALK. Behavior changes as you have observed...spells DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! So do the right thing...you have talked to her already...now it might be time to talk to some professionals....she needs counseling to help her GET OVER HER OBSESSION.

She shouldn't be with a married man in the 1st place...damn...she can't get her own man. Anyway, call the cops if you really think she may do something. You could get in trouble if she did it and you knew she was going to. Be careful. Maybe take her for a ladies day out to get her mind off that loser.

She obviously has some problems being that she is even dating a married man to begin with. You may need to intervene and try to work out the problem.

You should talk a little more seriously with your friend.....Find Out if she is serious.Maybe she is just depressed..but maybe not.If you believe her to be serious, then speak to someone who can help her more than you. This man needs to know if she is capable of hurting him or herself.I know she is your friend, but she sounds really unstable,so do what you have to ...to make sure No-One gets hurt.Good Luck!

Call the police! That girl needs some serious help, professional help. If you know her well enough and know that she is severely depressed, then do the right thing before you lose her. (either to suicide or death row in prision)
