Understand that George Bush is only a puppet, doing whatever he's told to do. The people who really control this country are never on the ballot, and never publicly identified.
Dick Cheney is in charge. After 9-11-01, Cheney persuaded Bush to illegally and unconstitutionally invade Iraq, which in no way provoked, threatened, or attacked the U.S.A. That all happened for only two really lame reasons: 1) Bush had a personal vendetta against Hussein for humiliating his daddy during Desert Storm; and 2) Cheney wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so that he and his Exxon-Mobil buddies can get richer and richer and richer.
That's why we're really at war with Iraq.
PREDICTION: There will be NO TROOP WITHDRAWALS from Iraq until Cheney has a rock-solid, iron clad arrangement in place to take of Iraq's OIL (with the cooperation for the new Iraqi government, which he helped install).
PREDICTION: We'll settle our differences with North Korea diplomatically. Why? Because North Korea has no OIL. No sense killing American soldiers if there's nothing to be gained for the U.S.A.
PREDICTION: As soon as the Bushites can figure out a plausible reason for invading Iran, a 'war' will start there. Why?
Because Iran has OIL - and Dick Cheney wants it all!
PREDICTION: If it looks like a Democrat may win in the 2008 election, and there's no logical way to 'steal' the eleciton, Bush and his co-conspirators will fabricate another 'terrorist' attack on U.S. soil, then declare martial law, claiming that a change in administrations would not be in the best interests of national security. That gives Jeb Bush a chance to prepare for the 2012 elections and continue to Bush family dynasty with its unusually close ties to the Saudis and the Chinese.

Yes, it's easier to believe the generic press releases the government sends out and the TV news anchors read verbatim on the 6:30 nightly news. But it might very well be the downfall of this great nation. The fourth estate has failed miserably at serving as the public's watchdog and scrutinizing everything our government does - most of which is unconstitutional, illegal, unethical, or immoral. -RKO-

Despite what's said, it has nothing to do with is dad or oil. My best suggestion is that you get educated and check your facts. There has been WMD's found. There is also alot of stuff that made it across the border into Syria before we had a chance to find it. There was alot of intelligence involved in our attack of Iraq. The President make this decision alone. It's very easy to blame him, but Congress was in complete agreement to attack. The Iraqi people are better off and glad that we're there. They're no longer shot on the spot if the disagree with Saddam. They're no longer poor while one man (Saddam) lives in palaces and has huge stashes of money hid underground.
Quit listening to biased propaganda and get some facts. It's all out there. And there was WMD's.

You're wrong, Al Queda was in Iraq. They trained there. Saddam was supporting terrorism in many forms. Paid a bounty to suicide bombers. WMDs were thought to be there by the UN, France, Germany, Briton as well as the previous administration here. Bad intell, or were they moved to Jordan or Syria?

Before Saddam Hussein kicked out the U.N. weapon inspectors in 1993 he had on hand enough serin gas and anthrax germ to kill a sizable population. He did not honor the peace agreement he signed with us and other nations. The weapon's inspectors could not go back in and find out what he did with all his weapons so we could only assume he still had them. The United States and many other countries learned after World War I and World War II that you don't let a mad dictator run around loose with no morals and an army in his pocket. We also have to protect our interest in the oil reserves located in the middle east. Blood for oil is tragic but our government is here to protect our way of life. And that means not only protecting our physical safety but also the American dream. America would be a different place if not for one small freedom like being able to take deficit finance trips to the mall or go grocery shopping. Even the lowest class American is able to live like a spoiled king because all other countries are subservient to us. But there are many reasons for War in Iraq, like the opportunity to test new technologies and weapons in actual combat, when we flex our technological and industrial muscles it scares the rest of the bullies. And besides war is good for business, people always ask the question, "Why do we destroy a country and then build it back?". After we went to war in Iraq we spend billions of dollars to build it back but we stand to make back 10 times that much over the next 20+ years from that country. We blow up a power plant...we use "American" technologies, contractors, equipment, materials, and personnel to build it all back, and then over the next generation every time something breaks down they have to buy the materials from us to replace it. It may take 100 million to rebuild a power plant in Iraq but there government will ultimately pay much more then that amount just to keep it operational..."to us". So, we don't build back countries from the goodness of our hearts, we do it for the money. But we also do it because we don't want the people there to hate us after we destroy everything and pack up and leave. So it's a no lose situation, the people love us because we got rid of there dictator that hated America so now they can trade with us, it will open up a whole new market, there will now be Iraqes wearing blue jeans, eating big mac's, and watching re-runs of Seinfeld, very good for the American market. They will buy, buy, buy from America after things settle down a bit. We brought them War, death, and destruction and when we leave we will leave behind fast food, traffic tickets, malls, cowboy boots, lawyers, the Internet, divorce, freedom of the media, gluttony, pet rights and democracy. And they will love us for it.

America didn't chase Saddam's army to Baghdad and capture him during Desert Storm, even though he had invaded Kuwait and threatened Saudi Arabia, because we believed at the time that he was a check and balance against other more dangerous countries like IRAN.

Bush want to complete his father's unfinished business. There was also the attraction of an unlimited oil supply pipeline, and of course the fact that war is good for business. His buddy Cheney has cleaned up in Iraq. His Haliburton co. won contracts worth up to $1Billion. Security companies like Aegis also cleaned up to the tune of $250m in a Pentagon contract. So many people made a lot of bucks from the invasion of Iraq.
So, despite the fact there were no WMD's and the fact there was no link with Al Qaida, or Bin Laden, Iraq was invaded.
Iraq was a soft touch, weakened by over a decade of economic sanctions. The invasion and war led to the death of over 100,000 civilians and over 2,000 troops. That's a lot of death, and a lot of blood on his hands, and he calls himdelf 'Christian'. You wonder how he sleeps easily at night with so much blood on hins hands, or Blair for that matter.

You need to really educate yourself and find out the real truth, otherwise you will hear all kinds of CRAP, like its all for Bushs gain, or oil, blah, blah, blah.. Which its neither. Our President has our best interests at heart, as well as the safety of the U.S. We have military for the sole purpose of defending our Country & our Freedom, to keep us safe from terrorists, etc.....
So, please, educate yourself, and dont go by heresay, or you will seriously be brain washed by these demented anti- Bush people on here, and then you will never know the truth. OK?

Oil, $, Religion
Bush is pushing for a Religious Democracy so Christianity can be spread.
This is great for any group who wants to push their message.
This will lead to nuclear war by Sept. 12, 2006.

We're bringing the gift of democracy to the poor Iraqi people, just like the Romans brought the gift of civilization to the poor barbarian tribes, the Europeans brought the gift of Christ to the poor American Indians, and the Soviets brought the gift of communism to the poor working class.
(In other words, Bush is settling scores for his father)
