I came to the united states a few months ago to live permanently. i dont have tax papers for last year because i wasnt here last year.am a dependent but the school's financial aid people say that am too old to be a dependent?...hell i wasn't till i got here.i have filled out the fafsa application and received my SAR.but the financial aid people at the school are insisting i make up a bunch of numbers as expences for last year that doesn't exist.claiming that it is impossible for anyone not to have a tax ......well i do have something its called hope and dreams for a better and brighter future.or maybe i choose the wrong school????

I understand your frustrations, but don't give up. Sadly, our government doesn't make it easy for non citizens to get money. Unless you are poor and applying for Food Stamps or Financial assistance to sit at home and do nothing.

Out there somewhere is someone whom will take a chance. Write a story to your local paper. It is amazing how many Americans would be willing to help someone whom wants to better themselves.
