First, I certainly mean no offense to homosexuals, in fact, I am not necessarily implying that a culture that does have higher homosexuality rates is bad or good, Im looking at the overall effect here.

The evidence in a nutshell --

Prison males have higher homosexuality rates because they are separated from the opposite sex. Chimp males deprived of females become more violent, the same is true for elephants. PBS had a nice special on this when they were trying to find out who or what was killing so many rhinos. Turns out, two males, separated from the herd and with no other female sexual outlet, turned their resovior of supressed sexual energy into rage and rhino murder which was otherwise way out of the norm.

Much has been writen about this, for example, Discover Magazine had an article many years ago about Incest rates and it turns out that countries that impose separation of sexes upon their entire culture (Islamic) had the highest incest rates (20-50%).

I very much doubt it has any effect on the rate of incest. Some taboos are much stronger than others, and there's no need to break this one when there's plenty of other people around. What do your percentages mean? Surely you're not saying that 20-50% of people in Islamic countries are incestuous. That seems too high to be believed. Assuming, however, that rates of incest are higher in countries that impose greater separation of the sexes, there may be other reasons for this. Some cultures find intrafamilial marriages to be acceptable, even desirous. It could have to do with religious tradition or even be the result of certain monetary laws. Remember that correlation does not necessarily imply causation. Second, yes, homosexual acts would increase. Prisons and the Navy have been traditional evidence of this. I would hesitate to say that homosexuality itself increases, however. I think people still have the same preferences they would have in a mixed society; it's just that when they're denied the option for a long period of time, they'll take what they can get. Finally, I think it may be possible that violence increases, but I'm not yet convinced. Chimpanzees and rhinos are both naturally very violent animals; not all species will become more violent when deprived of the opposite sex. What is more, these animals won't turn to homosexuality or masturbation as an outlet for sexual frustration, whereas humans can and will. Overall, there may be some increase in violence, but I don't think it would be substantial.

Well, in general, I would say so.. except perhaps male only schools or girls only schools... that does not mean they cannot have girlfriends or bf just that they do not attend classes together.. does that promote homoxexuality, etc.. NO.. Now, prisons is a different thing. Yes, I would say it probably does promote lesbianism and homosexuality but just think what it would be like to have male and female together in a prison... the babies would be pouring out the doors of the prisons

Nope nothing remotely stupid about that at all. Given that such surveys are banned in Muslim countries, I find your 'evidence' a little on the questionable side. Who knew that Chimps and Elephants were so cognitively comparable to humans. And the prison males thing I'm not even going to dignify that with a response.

I think there are so many different issues here its hard to know
where to start.

I suspect that nobody is 100% heterosexual or 100% homosexual.
Some environments may make it easier to show or even force
someone to show tendencies that already exist.

Secondly, a huge component of rape is POWER, not sex. Much
of what goes on in prisons is known to be to ensure the pecking
order.

Thirdly, yes, if you separate people from their normal sexual
targets, they will get on edge - possibly even rage. Sexual
frustration is a potent force - and is one of the reasons that
prisons have conjugal visits (though that doesn't seem to work
all that well).

prison males only do that because they have no other option, it doesn't make them gay though. some guys are gay b4 they enter prison, some realize they're gay when they discover how much they like it. your other evidence makes sense but idk how it relates to religion, in fact this is psychology
