Sure, why not? Use a yellow or even marble style cake mix and make your own crumble topping. I would suggest (in order to get a more dense, yet still moist cake) using a package of instant vanilla pudding as well as 6 eggs versus the usual 1 or 2 that the mix calls for.

actually u can by taking yellow cake mix (prepare and bake according to pkg instructions). After cake is finished baking , while still slightly warrm, top the cake with the following combined ingredients: 1c brown sugar, 1/2c granulated sugar, 1-2 TBLsp or desired amt to fulfil individual taste, of your choice of coffee grounds ,1 small bag planters peanut topping finely and thencut in 1/2c of very very soft butter or margarine til topping resembles coarse crumbly mixture= serve imediately...enjoy!

Yes! You can do so much by using a simple cake batter.Add to it any kind of flavoring and it can be semi-homemade at the least.â¥

Who is to say it's cheating to use a cake mix? Just don't tell anyone it's a mix, and if asked, simply say, "I made it myself".
