IF the car has not been driven, how can they make a claim.
On the other hand if YOU drove it or let someone drive it. Then you are screwed

You can not backdate your insurance. The policy starts the moment you take it out with the company and not before. This record (along with date and time of policy purchase) is available to police when they do their checks. Be careful the first few days after getting your policy because the insurance companies are meant to have it on the database within a certain amount of days. If the record isn't put on and you are pulled over then you are deemed to be driving without insurance and your vehicle can be seized. Always keep both copies of your licence and insurance with you when driving.

That would be insurance fraud and both you and the insurance agent would be risking prison terms.
If you either drove your car without a license and insurance or allowed someone else to drive it even though it was uninsured you do NOT have a strong case. You have NO CASE at ALL!
If your car was in fact properly parked off the public roads during this period and the claimant has filed a fraudulent claim, you should speak with an attorney.
If your car actually did cause damage, get your checkbook out and pay up. If you do not do so, your right to operate will be revoked until the debt is paid.

It's against the law to back date anything in insurance.....Why would there be a claim against you if haven't drove the car? Did the car pull a Christine on you or what? I am sorry, but I am going to serious here for a minute...most companies do their policies by computers and you can't back date the paperwork even if you had a good reason too. This would be insurance fruad. If you have not move the car, then the other party is lying. You may end up in court with it, but if you have witnesses that says it has moved from your yard, then they are trying to committ
insurance fruad, they could go to jail......could you please explain a little more? Can't give you any advice because this doesn't make sense, I am sorry. For the question, answer is "no".
God bless us all...............

So were you involved in the accident or someone alleges you were? Although you're taking a beating for it, unless you had insurance on the date of the accident you're without much defense against the claim being made. That's the gamble of driving (or parking) uninsured. You can be confident that the one day you run down to the store for a second will be the day you have the accident, really close to home most of the time! And that's when having insurance helps. They investigate and go to bat for you and you don't have the headache. Lesson learned. Good luck!

This is a felony. You think you have problems now?? If you manage to find anyone stupid enough to even do this you will be found out and both of you will spend time in the graybar hotel. The fine for not having insurance will seem like nothing compared to what you are going to face if you attempt this.
Idiot.

No, you can't get back dated automobile insurance. But if you weren't driving it how could anyone make a legitimate claim against it? Involve the police and let them know the vehicle is, and has been parked, so there is no way the claim could be legitimate and let them investigate it.

If you are telling the complete truth and NOBODY has driven our car, you might want to consider contacting you state's Dep't of Insurance or equivalent. You can report an alleged insurance fraud to the investigators who will decide if they wish to pursue the case. If they can prove fraud, they will prosecute the individual making the claim.
