why is it that when i was younger i had my ears peirced and i wasnt illergic to it then i stoped wearing earings and i got my ears repeirced last year and i had a reaction to it?>

The type of metal used in the ear posts or rings. If the metal is not pure enough, or is of a different type, such as if you used gold both times. But you are now allergic to the gold. It might be that the gold is of lesser quality. Maybe instead of 24q, it is only 15q, or even 12q. Thus the metals used as fillers are greater and you may be allergic to those filler metals.

It could be down to the nickel content in the earrings, are they pure gold, some people suddenly develop a nickel allergy at some point during their lives, I did!

I get the same reaction, it's weird. I could wear earrings for the longest time when I was younger. Now, they bother me.

You most likely developed an allergy, perhaps to nickle...what many earrings are made from.

Because your ears aren't used to it. When you were younger, you healed faster, and maybe they used chemicals that your body didn't react to.
