How do you freeze squash?

My friend has a garden so I get all these vegetables.She gave me a large green round squash and I cooked it like a acorn squash receipe I found on line. Now, I cut the rest of the squash up in sections with the rind still on and put it in my frig. Can I freeze it like that?

Pre cook and put in baggie and freeze.. Thats what the wife does.. with all our veg's..Your friend from Tennessee...ROB

No! To freeze things it goes in the freezer!

I just cut mine up into pieces and put in freezer bags.....it keeps very well.
