Cream Cheese is not a liquid nor is it a gel, so it should pass the security gate with minimal fuss. To be completely safe, however, I recommend that you place the cream cheese on some crackers prior to your flight and eat it. In that way, some over zealous security employee will not pull you out of line for a more intensive check.

Are you taking it on a bagel to eat on the plane? Domestic US flights are not allowing liquids on board, even those purchased in shops beyond the security checkpoint. If you're just taking a brick of cream cheese in your carry on luggage, I'm sure you'd be asked to get rid of it. Here's the current TSA restrictions for carry on luggage, also check with your airline.

The rules will be changed soon.
Everything will be allowed on board.
All passengers will be searched after the aircraft is in the air and coffee is served. This will give everyone time to eat and drink before being searched.
There will be no more delays. Any suspicious passengers will be ejected without a parachute.
Any money will be confiscated.

I think it is, but I always try to avoid any confrontation with the security. If you really can't just get cream cheese where you are going, then go ahead, but I wouldn't risk it.

in case you stay in Toronto, you could likely take it with you. p.c.. it in a huge plastic bag with some polar packs to keep it cool. it truly is amazingly chilly contained in the luggage compartment contained in the airplane so as that could help keep it cool. i could purchase a bath so the dimensions could help keep it cool and the cheese gained't squeeze out.
