Be true to yourself. If you feel your friends are pressuring you into something you feel is wrong, don't do it.
Study hard, get your work done on time and do your best.
Remember that the teacher is trying to teach you something, be open for learning, and if you disagree with what is being taught, realize that you can learn from your disagreemnent.
Stay around positive firends.
Find out what you are interested in, and join a club (or if your school doesn't have one, start it, you'll be amazed to find people who share your interests).
Enjoy yourself.

You're in for some tough times over the next four years, I can almost guarantee it, but always have faith in yourself and look towards your goals, and have someone you can trust that you can talk to and you will get through.

Get involved in an after school activity like a sport or club. It's a great way to get to know people with similar interests and some of the teachers. It's also great for your college applications.

Be yourself sounds like good advice, but looking back, the only thing that seemed to matter was to be popular, be pretty and have awesome clothes.Oh yeah, and have great hair. Being involved is important, that is good advice.

Remember to remain true to who you. You are going to be meeting all types of new people - some good, some not. Don't become something you are not, just to fit in.
Try something new, sport, club, newspaper.....
Pay attention.
And, have fun.
