"Deal not badly with a matter, then no sorrow will fall into your heart."
Explain it in a detailed way, because I am unsure of it's meaning.

In more modern words: Don't deal badly with a problem or situation, then you won't feel guilt and unhappiness over it because you have caused bad consequences.

I had gotten to the point where I decided that the next time a door-to-door salesman came knocking, I would be as rude and as nasty as I possibly could so that I could teach them a lesson and ensure that they would never come back again. When someone eventually came to my door, I thought that my actions would make me feel better but instead I felt really bad about how I reacted. I was so nasty that no amount of apology could have repaired the damage done to this individual's self esteem.

The proverb suggests that when we react harshly towards a situation that we do not understand or if we intentionally say something mean to "get even" with someone we run the risk of overreacting which in turn will put us in a position where we will wish that we did not retaliate in that manner.

Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
..... It says deal not badly. To me i think it is saying Do not deal with a situation badly such as in a rage or wanting to hurt someone. And if you do not then no sorrow will fall into your heart(regret, going to jail over it etc)If you deal with the matter in a positive way then you have nothing to feel bad about in your heart. Anger is such a sickness it will really bring you down. Anyways my philosophy for today lol Take Care tr2thhrt

Okay, let's say you were having a fight with a friend. You have 2 options. 1: You could yell and be terribly mean or 2: You could talk it over and try to fix it calmly. If you chose to do 1, you would feel bad and guilty about hurting your friend. If you did 2, you would be happy about doing the right thing because you were calm and even if you couldn't fix the friendship, at least you tried to do so nicely. So, in other words: "Deal with problems calmly and nicely, then no sorrow will overpower you" or something.

secular Sumerian (Iraq, 3rd millennium B.C.E.) proverbs: "You go and take the field of the enemy; the enemy comes and takes your field"; and "Deal not badly with a matter, then no sorrow will fall into your heart. Do no evil, then you will not clutch a lasting sorrow."

its got to do with - cause and effect - if you do something bad to someone dont expect the effect will be good to you , just keep your concious clear
you always get what you give -- like : KARMA

you should not do something bad which your concious says is bad later may be you will have to pay more.
if you do something good the result always be good.
its more to do with KARMA

It is like saying "Do not let the sun go down on your wrath" If you can handle a bad situation, in a way that benefits everyone and you, then the sorrow will have no place in the heart

If you deal with all things in your life with honesty, and fairness then there will be no regrets or backlashes in your life as a result. Similar to the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Or "You reap what you sew" these all mean the same thing. Live your life in a clean, good, honest, fair, non-judgemental, ............(i think you get the picture) way you will have no worries.

let's say you make a mistake--or someone else does. the situation can be handled one of two ways : good, or bad. bad being overreacting, blaming, getting hysterical and being judgemental--good meaning staying calm, reasoning. if you handle it "badly" then a lot of hurt feelings will be the cause because obvious judgemnt and unfairness has been shot out. but, if you do it "good" then everyone is calm and there's reason to it.
get it?
