YOU DO NOT NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!! You are only thirteen years old and do not need to be worrying about your weight. 108 lbs is perfectly healthy... I don't know how tall you are but no matter if your 4 feet tall you are fine at the weight you are at now! You will have another growth spurt and will "even out" once that happens.

A large portion of the United States is OVERWEIGHT, and we can thank Fast Food and Food Pyramid put out by the government.
Don't listen to people when they say: Your only 12 or 13, 15 so on, and you don't have to worry about you weight (people who say that usually are fat themselves). I don't know your height, if your 5 foot 9 inches. Then 108 pounds might be light, so this really depends on your height.
I would suggest that you watch your food intake, cut back by 40 percent. You still have years for your body to grow and mature, you need to eat right. Eat fresh fruit, Vegetables, Fish, chicken and drink 12 8 ounces of water.
For exercise I would walk, jog, run, set-ups, push ups, stand against the wall with your back against the wall and do squats. If you need weights, get some mild cartons and fill them with water.

STEP OFF OF THE SCALE!!!
There's nothing wrong with wanting to be healthy and in shape. If you feel like your body could be better, start exercising and eating healthy. You don't need equipment to do a lot of different types of exercise--go for a walk or run, go swimming, walk around the mall a million times with your friends (really good exercise, especially if you skip the food court). Eat healthy food--cut down on sugary foods and replace them with fruits and vegetables (try snacks you liked when you were younger--applesauce, celery with peanut butter, whatever), and avoid fast food.
The thing about weight--muscle weighs more than fat. I went to basic training, where you get thrown on a crash diet and have to exercise near constantly, and I gained weight from all the muscle I built up even while I dropped a pant size.
But you are at a perfectly healthy weight, and if you start trying to crash diet now, you'll be starting a cycle that will last you for YEARS. Learn to exercise a bit more and eat healthy now, and those good habits will last for years, make you more healthy and feel better, and help you live longer. Besides, what would honestly make you feel better--spending two hours walking around the mall with your friends, or skipping lunch and feeling hungry all day?

try cardio kick boxing
Cardio kickboxing -- a combination of aerobics, boxing, and martial arts -- is one of the most popular fitness trends to hit gymnasiums in recent years. These workouts, which are inspired by martial arts, have motivated many people to start a fitness program.
This intense, total-body workout can improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination, and balance.1 The American Council on Exercise (ACE), which evaluates exercise products and programs, notes that, during a one-hour kickboxing workout, you can burn from 500 to 800 calories, which is up to twice the calories you burn during a one-hour step-aerobics class.
Kickboxing classes can be a great alternative for people who have become bored with weight-room cardiovascular activities, such as brisk walking or jogging on a treadmill. They also provide an option for people who enjoy the "semi-dance" movements found in aerobics or step classes. However, kickboxing-style fitness programs are not necessarily geared toward the beginner. The beginning cardio kickboxer must have above-average endurance, strength, and flexibility. ACE advises exercisers to keep the following things in mind when participating in this aerobic activity
Consider your current level of fitness. Don't make an aggressive martial arts -based program your first foray into exercise. If you have arthritis, tight hamstrings, an inflexible back or other physical limitations, you might not be a good candidate for aerobic kickboxing.
Even if you are in good shape and participate in cross training programs, take it easy until your body adapts to a new type of move. Drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout.
Beginners especially should avoid high kicks until they get used to the routine and become more flexible.
Do not lock your joints when throwing kicks or punches.
Do not overextend kicks. Kicks only as high as you can raise your leg while maintaining proper body alignment. Wear aerobic shoes or other lightweight athletic shoes designed for pivots and lateral movements. You could risk a sprained ankle if you wear running or walking shoes on carpet, IDEA warns.
Any time that you strike the air with kicks or punches you are working on speed and form. In order to develop the larger muscles you have to have resistance. Hitting a heavy (punching) bag is similar to weight training because it provides resistance. Keith Vital former world karate champion.
NOTE: Before enrolling in a cardio-kickboxing class or any new exercise program for that matter, discuss your plan with your doctor and obtain medical clearance.

it's not weight you need to worry about- you aren't overweight... it's muscle tone you need!
step one: throw out your scale. seriously.
run 30 minutes every day and strength train every other day.
crunches are good, but you might prefer pilates. you can get good pilates tapes for like $10 if you look around in discount movie bins at stores such as walmart, blockbuster, and even the dollar store.
you can make weights out of two old 2 liter coke bottles by filling them with water or sand.
don't know where to start?
go to: www.gsu.edu/~wwwfit/strength.html
they have info on upper body, lower body, and abdominal strength training exercises!

Running is very good for bums, tums and legs. Try running for 30 minutes a day or try skipping for 30 minutes a day. Also, try to eat heathily (and i don't mean salads) . Eat a variety of foods and try not to eat too much saturated fats, sweets, crisps, etc. Try not to drink any fizzy or sugary drinks and try to drink as much water as you can. Eat sensibly and have 3 good meals a day. Remember, if you skip meals you will not lose weight.

If you do only exercise you might be putting on muscle and still not lose weight...So decide which you want.
walking, playing tennis or volleyball, running are good exercise.
I don't know that a person your age should be even thinking about losing weight as you will wear it off as you get older.
