the prompts you are receiving are due to a update which was installed into your machine automatically, the windows genuine advantage tool scans your pc and determines wether it is a copy or genuine,it will then report to you if it is a copy, and will do this every time you boot up your p,c
to get rid of these annoying messages, simply right click the genuine windows icon in the taskbar,it looks like a silver start, and then click "change notification settings",this will re-direct you to the genuine windows web page were you can edit the notification settings, you must first agree to their terms, which basically means you cant download any software such as windows media player 11,internet explorer 7 beta ect, allthough you will still receive crucial updates
once you have done this and ticked the box and agree,go back to your desktop and restart your cpmputer, when it restarts you wont see any notifications
good luck

If the popups are just spam then you just need to enable some kind of pop-up blocker, if there from microsoft, then you might need to look into finding a key that'll work, do some research on limewire, and google, someone has had that problem and got around it. Also, microsoft isnt going to shut you down, i dont feel there worried about the one guy with the one illegal copy, just the guy who has 200 copies and is selling it to his friends.
Hope i helped

I think you should get a genuine windows xp because that copy must be an illegal copy, you can in a lot of trouble if you don't get a genuine copy!!!!!!!!!!
If you got it from a computer store or something. Return it, And go to a store that you trust
Take my advice.

Delete the folder ‘WgaLogon’ and all its contents
