"The term utopia was coined by Sir Thomas More as the name of an imaginary, idealistic island where society lives in harmony with government and everyone is free from poverty, tyranny and war, in his Latin book De Optimo Reipublicae Statu deque Nova Insula Utopia (circa 1516), now known more commonly as Utopia."
Utopia is the name of a FAKE COUNTRY.
Now it is used to describe any particularly blissful experience, or place. (i.e. "This desert island is beautiful, and so peaceful it's like Utopia!")
Thomas More made up the word Utopia from 2 Greek words to mean "no place".
Also, if you ever have a chance to read "Utopia", I think you'll find it's not very "Utopic"...pre-marital sex, drunkeness, etc. are all severely punished. You might argue that this type of Utopia is impossible unless you give up all freedom to make decisions on your own.
Well, that's not my idea of paradise, anyway.
Read "1984" after you read "Utopia", if you haven't already.

Are you serious? Utopia is an imaginary construct, a place of harmony, of perfect government and social order. It doesn't exist.

Inside your head. It is a state of mind.
There is a Chinese proverb that says find a job you love and you will never do another days work in your life.
By letting go and seeking satisfaction in the simple things you can break the chain of always wanting what you have not got.
