They are unmarried and have children. No other reasonable conclusions can be drawn from your ridiculously general question.

I think that a ingle mother due to divorce or death is a very strong and determined person and will have to work twice as hard to be both mom and dad to a child, make enough to support the child and still find enough tme in the day after working two jobs to fix meals, clean house and run to all the activities a child does. I think a teenager or young woman who gets pregnant with no intention of getting married is going to get a big wake up call when the see just what they have to give up and sacrafice for this child. There is nothing wrong with a woman choosing to have a child without a husband if they are finacially and emotionally able to provide for that child and have men that will be a positive role model for the child ( grandpa, uncle) but it is still a lot of hard work and better to share it with someone.

I am a divorced mother of three. I worked full-time went to school full time. I now work in a doctors office where I make more money and have more time for my children. I am a hardworking single mother and I am so happy that I did this all on my own. I have been happily divorced for about 4 years. What do you think about me?

As long as they are doing what it takes to be a great parent then I support them all the way. My sister is a single mother at 25. She chose to be, frankly because she can't stand men. But she is a wonderful mother and works full time to support her baby boy and I gladly take care of him while she works.

I think the term 'single mother' denotes another question entirely "Where's Dad?"
I think that somewhere in the last 50 years fathers stopped teaching their young boys how to grow up to be men. Men who take responsibility, men who excersise restraint, men who provide for their family.
Men today seem to be running away from resposibility...
What do I think of single-moms? I think they are the modern day heros. In todays world, most people don't grow up with a functional family, but that doesnt mean they dont produce functional adults.

I feel if someone chooses to have a child while NOT married, they shouldn't receive any financial assistance from our government since IT WAS THEIR DECISION TO BE A SINGLE parent. If someone has a child and the person divorces, they should pay higher taxes, divorce is to easy ( of course there are exceptions, the abuse claims and or other abuses )
If a spouse dies than of course that doesnt count.
I've known to many women who have choosen to be single than they complain about how hard it is, well DUH.
That might sound harsh but you know, I planned my kids. I know many people think it is beyond them to do this.

I think single mothers have a very hard road to hoe and all those women who raise their kids, and raise them well, by themselves, deserve everyone's support and congratulations.
