It's more important that you stay home and get healthy. You don't want to go and get other people ill, especially if you go to a church that has everyone drink out of the same cup! A lot of church membership is made of up older people with poor health in the first place.

Just give something extra next week. But for the time being, you should go rest and get better: so get off the computer and have some soup and take a nap!

As you go through the week, don't be surprised if God sends someone to you who needs exactly what you weren't able to put into the local church today - because of ill health there are many times I can't make it to church and I used to feel guilty, so I'd mail my check in, but then one Sunday afternoon a woman and her son came that needed the exact amount of tithe to pay their utility bill, she handed me the bill, I promised I would have it in the mail the next day - I voided my church check and paid her bill. God taught me through that - when I can't give it where I normally do, which is in my church, it might be because he has a greater need he wants me to give it too! So, keep your eyes and ears open this week, he may just surprise you! And don't feel guilty. I find tithing to be one of the greatest joys of worship - I can give God something he has provided me the physical ability to obtain and I love to give it back to him - that's one reason I don't do direct deposit or make pledges to my church for weekly or monthly amounts - that's not tithing - that's paying a bill - I want my tithe and offerings to be joyous opportunities - not showy, just joy-filling in my heart as I prayerfully lay my check in the plate or when I can't get there as I pay a bill for someone, or meet a need that otherwise I wouldn't have had that exact amount of money to do with as I live on a fixed income that is below poverty level - having the computer is the one luxury in our life - we chose it over tv and God has blessed us immensely as we have opportunity to minister to so many people this way that we never would have had otherwise. So, let God through the power of the Holy Spirit show you where he wants that to go this week!

Some people figure out their monthly income and just give 10% of that at one time a month. There is no set way to tithe, expect to be a cheerful giver.

For tithing many people do direct deposit to the church set up through your local credit union or bank. The churches love the consistancy. That way if you are ill or go on vacation the church is covered. Hope this helps!

Mail your tithe to the Church or save it and add to next weeks tithe.

No tithes.
Offerings if you wish.

Hebrews chapter 7 verse 5 ,12 ,18.
The pastor isn't a levitical priest, no right to collect tithes.
We are not under the levitical law.
We are of the new covenant, Heb. 8:13. Remember who said old.
It was God who said it, are you going to say no?
Oh by the way, the old traditionally explanation may be used. The pharisees used the traditionally approach also.

The main thing is to give cheerfully. If you missed church and think that something bad will happen because you didn't give, then you are not a cheerful giver but a fearful giver.Don't keep tract of how much you give but give continuously and generously.
