So many wonderful answers ...
I just want to thank you all for taking the time, before I put this question up for a vote. It's just too hard to choose because I was blessed by many. I find it really fascinating to find out what other churches are teaching around the country!

And yes, the kids are feeling better (to those who wondered), and I'm looking forward to getting to church again tomorrow!

Have a blessed week :O)

we started with a wonderful praise and worship service... i felt His presence so strong, i couldn't help but cry for joy.

we had a guest speaker, pastor larry goodwin (cmi). he spoke of the mission he just came home from in rawanda. then he told the story of esther. he talked about destiny and its purpose. his closing statement: "you were born for such a time as this."

we had a small picnic... i wondered why you weren't there (lol).

God bless :)

about jonah, and how when we say no to God, we hurt others besides ourselves. the pastor used the movie, the perfect storm as an example on how when the those men died, it had an impact on others and the world because everyone had a connection somehow. he also had a bunch of demotivational posters as a joke, like mediocrity, no one will notice until its too late to do anything about it and mistakes, for some people, their life is just to show how not to do it. id give more info if i could find my notes, hope this helps.

I went! However, I worked in the nurshery so I missed the sermon. But....Sunday School was about Paul in Athens (acts) and how the idols that the people were worshiping discusted him. And how we should not have any idols before God, whether it be people, sports, possesions...yah know. It was really awesome, I think it was Acts 17:16-....something like that.
