To put it plain and simple sometimes I feel like Job in the Bible! I know life has a series of test and that you should try to find the lesson in them. But what about when you are too tired to keep running so you are willing to walk away. I have been a pretty decent girl all my life. I never gave my family real problems, doing excellent in school but it seems like all I do is get punished in some way and that I am never prospering but everyone else is. how do you deal with these feelings about God. I know faith and so forth but what if you have past that stage and yet to see a change?

Trust yourself. Look at the reasons behind what is in the bible. Think of how life was like when it was written. Gain as much knowledge as you can. This journey will help you decide.

Good Luck!

I would like to share with you a Message that my Brother Mike wrote to me, I really hope this helps you as it has helped me many times over.

"The Calling"
My calling..as far I can see, is first to believe.
Next..well, just how much depends on me?
The Lord made me perfect in His eye,
Though real perfection comes only when I die.
In the meantime, life is this unsolvable mystery,
The Past, the Now, the Future, is just History.
To the One who was in the beginning, and the end,
The Perfect One who knew when and whom to send.

One thing I do know,
I am to grow,
in the Grace and Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The One who bought me with such a great price.
Even our own pain and sorrow...has it's place,
Adding Strenghth and Courage to the child learning to run this race.
"Don't ever quit", the Voice will say,
"until that final day".
Our Victory is not in the order that we cross the Line,
Against one another is not the reason for this time.
Endurance is the key to finding your pace,
Finishing brings a smile to the Fathers face.

Angel's sing, when even one, ever so slight
Comes out of the Darkness, into the Light,
Never again afraid of the night and
Of Death and it's sting, there is no more fear,
Knowing and believing the promises they hear.
Trust in His Word.
Leave the stampeding Herd.
They will follow the Lie
only to Die.
We run this mystery with Hope, Faith and Love,
Clever as Serpents, Innocent as Doves.

And Thankfullness...for our broken Stride.
What makes us stumble - It is out Pride.
Fear keeps us astray
Causes us to pretend the parts we Play.
Your Salvation is Real.
The Holy Spirit is your Seal.
What is your Calling? you may ask.

....as though Life was simply a Task.
No wonder the Real is Behind a mask.
For these Sins and more, Jesus has died.
Confess and forget, Grace and Humility will say,
until the last breath takes us away.
Then we will know, our Calling was sure.
Then we will know,
It was God's Calling, not ours that could only be Pure.

Lay down your Mask, Put away your Task...
We are God's workmanship. He has the skills and the Heart, to mold us into a useable part.
To work together, in Unity and Peace,
His Church in the way He intended Her to be...
A Bride without Blemish, a wife, Holy, spotless and pure.
Each Member brings the part God supplied to Unite and the realationship that will Endure.

Come just as You are, then you may see
the most beautiful unraveling of this Mystery.
Your Calling, whatever it may be
comes from the Creator of all you can see.
I'll tell you a Secret - a small one but sure...
the nearer you come with a Heart that is Pure,
the more of God you will know and the further you will see, the more usable you will be!
Endure to the end, Knowing you are Free.

Stop running and stand still. People need to know to stand when you have done all that you can do, just stand and wait upon the Lord. He will always come through. This requires faith. It is always easy when things are going really well for you to have faith but when things get tough you either keep the faith or turn away. You are at the crossroads of life where, do I want to go on or walk away. Only you can choose that. This is where our free will comes into play.

I know what you mean, been there done that. I've felt this way before. Tell God how you feel and talk to Him about everything, He wants you to come and talk with Him. I know how you feel. Believe that He does hear and answer your prayers. Do you have a one on one relationship with Him? Do you have quiet time with Him? This is the key.
I'm wondering if the problem isn't your faith at all. I wonder if it is what's going on in your life, parents, job, school? Everything coming down around you? It may be things like this, that's how it sounds.

It sounds more like you are having conflict with your parents rather than with God. Perhaps you feel they are being too repressive and maybe they are. Some people become so fanatical about religion that they forget what it is for. The main purpose of your life is to learn to love your fellow beings. Its not all about being a robot and following strict regimental rules. When you develop a true love for your neihbour and for God you will not wish to break any of his commandments, but you won't do it out of fear but out of love. Also remember that gaining material things is not a mark of your success. Its the kind of person you are inside that truly shows how rich you are.

I am struggling with the same problem, but that is where faith comes in you have to keep the faith until you die that is to me why Jesus was such an awesome person he was born poor and died poor, but his faith was strong so that is the most important thing is not to let life defeat your faith God works in many ways hang in there he will come thru for you

the bible says we are to seek gods kingdom and his rightness and these things will be added to you. this is how i say about my walk,im walking hand in hand with Jesus, until something catches my eye, and i leave,or sometimes i feel Jesus is pulling me because im stubborn and i don't want to move. but the point is that no matter where we are in our walk hes not goin to leave us,also maybe what you want is not what God wants for your life.thats good that u feel u were decent but don't forget we sin no matter how good we think we are,not trying to judge, and as far as other ppl prospering,God doesn't play favorites, trust me if you only knew me and u knew what i ment.u would understand, just keep seeking god.he will answer u,sometimes we just need to stand still and wait.take care

As long as you are trying to do good, you will be an outcast in this wicked world just as the Israelites were aliens in Egypt. Satan is pursuing you. Draw closer to God by reading your Bible every day and meditating on the things he is telling you. Know your enemy, the devil, and do not let him sow seeds of doubt in your heart.

Most Christians if they are honest will have had doubts at sometime about God. Be honest with God about them, because He likes our honesty. Hearing the Word builds faith, so the more you hear the Word, the less doubts that you will have.

Development of faith is ultimately also a question of developing knowledge. Spiritual knowledge is different to material forms of knowledge in that it doesn't exactly arise from a process of information gathering. Faith and devotion are a reciprocal process which involve the individual devotee and the Lord. The individual needs to develop a deep desire to know the real truth. That desire is reciprocated by the Lord who illuminates the heart of the devotee with realization of His spiritual nature. There is no
material process of empirically verifying the existence of either the soul or the Lord. It has to be by the Lord's mercy.

As described by Krishna Himself in the Bhagavad Gita
tesam satata yuktanam bhajatam priti purvakam
dadami buddhi yogam tam yena mam upaiyanti te
"To those who are constantly devoted and worship Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me".
(Bhagavad Gita 10.10)

It is also described that if you takes a single step towards the Lord, he will take a thousand steps toward you. Additionally, it is also said "Don't try to see God. Act in such a way that He will want to see you."

In order to make the heart pure and attract the attention of the Lord it is important to reduce our involvement in sinful action. A very pure individual is difficult to find.

yesam tv anta gatam papam jananam punya karmanam
te dvandva moha nirmukta bhajante mam drdha vratah
"Persons who have acted piously in previous lives and in this life, whose sinful actions are completely eradicated, and who are freed from the duality of delusion, engage themselves in my service with determination." (Bhagavad Gita 7.28)

Sinful action is derived from 4 main varieties
Meat eating
Intoxication
Gambling
Illicit sex

Reducing our involvement in these sinful activities results in an increasing purification of the mind and consciousness which creates a more fertile environment for the development of spiritual faith.
