a lot of course/club/resort development companies engage in development all over the world. one way would be look for a domestic job with an outfit that holds - or plans on gaining - some propertty outside the usa, and then make a move. some language skills would obviously be a huge benefit, but if you're just looking around the uk, you could simply put together your resume, take a flight, and start knocking on doors...it never seems to fail. even if you didn't get a pro job - they're not exactly easy to land these days - just a job within golf operations would be a great start to proving your worth.
