Sushi is a type of Japanese finger food. You can eat it with your fingers or with chopsticks. Most people think it only contains raw fish. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
Raw fish is sashimi.
I like the California roll sushi. It has avacado, cucumber, and crab meat. It's wrapped in nori, which is a dried sea weed, and has sticky rice on the outside. You can dip it in soy sauce and/or
wasabi (the green paste), which is very hot. It is not polite to mix them together even though a lot of people do.
You will also get some slices of pickled ginger. They are very good and are meant to cleanse the palate. By the way, you are supposed to put the whole sushi in your mouth in one bite.
There is also a type of sushi that is a glob of rice with a cooked shrimp on top, or raw tuna, or eel etc. Do not dip it in the soy sauce rice side down or you will lose all the rice. Dip it fish side down.
Hope this helps!

There is toasted seaweed, fresh raw fish, some recipes require cooked fish (like crab and eel). Vegetables such as cucumbers, avocado and carrots can be used. Wasabi is used as well (it's sort of like a really strong horseraddish). The rice is infused with vinegar, salt and a touch of sugar. Some people add sesame seeds to their sushi (both the white and black kinds) and often fish eggs (roe or caviar) is used in sushi as well. Egg can be used also and it is also cooked with a bit of vinegar and sugar in it.

it depends on what you ordered. Most sushi is made up of seaweed, white rice, and what ever filling you want in. Soem might get what is called a vegetable roll, its sushi but with vegetable and no meat. some might go with the traditional raw fish and some might get it withcooked meat. it is a big misconception thatall sushi is raw fish.

It is spelt Sushi...and it can contain anything.
It always has rice and a thin seaweed wrap...then the inside is all up to your imagination. It can have uncooked salmon, tuna and other type of fish. But it can also have cooked fish.
Aslo it can have crab, prawns, and such. And it can contain vegetables like cucumbers, avacodo and more....
Sushi is really tasty.

rice for sure, usually with seaweed if it's in rolls/handrolls. And it comes in a great varities, generally it's different kinds of raw fish, squid, octopus, shrimp, crab. If these sounds gross to you, they always have simple one like, with eggs, cucumber, carrot, pickles, tofu skin, imitation crab meat....etc..... don't forget the wasabi and pink pickled ginger... :) Yummmy
