Learn to spell. Learn proper grammar. Should you become an Internet crime investigator, you will have to write reports. Those reports must be coherent. Otherwise any work you have done is just a waste.

Once you can write properly, you may move to the next step. Apply for a job as a police officer. Go through the hiring process and then move into Internet crime investigation.

There are no "Internet Cops" as such. The work is done by regular police departments often with support from computer experts. Many also enlist the help of their kids to understand the lingo that is used so they don't tip their hands.

Ask one of those weird cops who like to pretend to be little kids talking about sex, and try to find out why what they do is not more offensive than predators pretending to be kids talking about sex with kids online. Why does one get to arrest the other for doing exactly the same thing with kids?

You don't really have to be a police officer. There are civilian forensic experts that are not police in my area. As well you could work for Perverted Justice. They are the organization that Dateline contracts to run the stings you see on tv.

Check www.perverted-justice.com and click the "how to help" tab at the top.

Contact your local Sheriffs Department and they can give you the information. Most likely you will need to actually become a law enforcement officer.
