Because we are seperated into a bunch of different countries, many of whom want to knock eachother off anyway, and in order to stop the aliens the entire human race had to come together as a group, we probably would not be able to get our **** organized & would unfortunately be at the mercy of the flesh-eating aliens.

I bet if the aliens landed in an area not like by the rest of the world, the other nations may be inclined to sit back and wait and not act until "our" people are being hurt.

The most likely scenario is that one group of people would sell out the rest of the race to the aliens in exchange for thier continued existence, only to be eaten later themselves.

No, in a need to end the movie plot, the writer makes all of the aliens sick and whammo, within a few minutes the movie is over with a bad ending. Then Tom cruise hugs his son (who has to crouch down to hug Tom). Then Morgan Freeman leaves us with a few words as we fade to black.

No, look at times past The Africans captured other Africans and sold them as slaves.
We would be as divided as we are today. Probably gather up people we didn't like and sell them as food.
Some would make friends with them and become enthpenures.
Keeping stock pens of human meat.

If all nations were equally at risk, I would think we'd drop our vendettas long enough to fight back.
Remember how Republicans and Democrats stopped bickering for awhile after 9/11? It didn't last long, but I'd like to think all nations would come together if our planet was threatened.
