A multi-dimensional universe. The time dimension is like any other measurement and due to the invisible interaction of the other universes we sometimes tune in to more than just this one thereby "seeing" what is to come in our future. When we "see" some past events we pass them off as memories but experience that weird feeling of deja vu. Most of the time these other dimension sit neatly in line with our own but they wobble and vibrate as well and that is when the times are distorted allowing us to peek into the future and the past - provided we are attuned to it. Some people are more sensitive to this than others. Finally; yes I have experienced some of these moments myself. I think we all do in varying degrees.

here are the explanations for the examples you gave:
1. "Psychic connections including telepathy which most people will have experienced although the majority never notice."
telepathy doesn't exist. if you think you have it, then you should contact james randi. he's test you in a controlled environment, and if you do have it, then he'll give you a million dollars.
http://www.randi.org/research/index.html
if it "seems" like you have telepathy SOME of the time, then it's due either to your being able to think of something rather commonplace, or it's just that a coincidence is happening. (more on coincidences below.)
2. "Meeting somone the day after you have thought about them for the first time in years, (c'mon its happened to more people than just me)"
once again, coincidences do happen. they just don't happen often. you're counting the hits but not the misses. how many times have you thought about someone for the first time in years and then DIDN'T see them anytime soon?? you don't record those instances, now do you.
3. "De-ja-vu which is so intense you know exactly what is going to happen next."
you DON'T know what's going to happen next., you only feel like you do. de-ja-vu is a chemical misfire in the brain. once again,, if you really think you have psychic abilities, then go get your million dollars from james randi.
4. "You may not have experienced these exact things but everyone has had situations where they have experienced a coincidence where the odds of it happening are astronomical."
if you understand probability in the least, then you know full well that unlikely happen regularly. in fact, it is more likely than not that unlikely things occur occasional. what would be odd is if they NEVER occurred. even astronomically slim unlikelihoods are more likely to occur than not, given a high enough number of tries.
for all of the responders who said "karma" as an answer, you guys need to understand that "karma" and "god" are the same thing. believing in one is the same as believing in the other.
and for all of you who said, "i don't believe in coincidences", you need to realize that you sound like a christian. coincidences are a very real thing. all it is really is two unlikely things that happen to be coinciding,,, obviously. they're not common, but they do happen.

Yes, I would have to say karma as well, although it certainly doesn't explain everything. I believe that everything happens for a reason, even if the reason is not readily apparent at that moment in time. I don't think religion really explains things like telepathy or de ja vu. It seems to be outside the realm of most religious teaching.

It is simply the actions of human thought that lay at the bottom of this. Human memory was designed to recall things, stuff like the past, and it is the past that humans learn from. Deja Vu is yet another example of this, and coincidence simply comes from chance. Chance is what makes this universe run, for if fate didn't happen, then there would be no point in the world existing. Also, the reason you know what is going to happen next is because you may have forseen all of this before, and because you Saw it, your first impulse is to do exactly what you saw yourself do before. So you could get Deja Vu while making eggs and bacon, and you remember seeing yourself cracking the eggs. You do just that, as an impulse, copying the actions of the first time you saw yourself cracking eggs. If you didn't copy it, you don't get Deja Vu, and it passes as just another action. It's all in the copying of past actions.

de ja vu
or as the French say
"I think I have been here before" lol
My guess is that information from each eye gets processed at a different speed. Two seperate signals of the same information one delayed by the tiniest fraction in time. This confuses the brain into thinking that you have experenced it previously when actually it is only your brain that experiences it twice.

I have felt de-ja-vu before, and I think it is the sensation of knowing that something reoccurring, with such slim probability, gives us the willies. It is totally unexpected, so it freaks us out or startles us, like when a door blows shut because a window was left open. Experiences can repeat, especially if we are in routines. I don't think the event is as significant as how we feel when and react when it occurs.

Think about all the things you do and think about and say in a day.
That is a lot of things.
Sooner or later you are going to get your coincidences, and situations are going to happen like you have previously subconscously predicted (deja vu). There are no great paranormal mysteries waiting to be discovered. We would know about it by know, we've been here thousands of years.

There are many unseen forces at work in the world today..... you should be mentioning a few i'm sure you could.
Powers and principalities all most concerned about what you spend your time doing, many if not most are evil in origin. There is a battle for our souls brother, our minds and our bodies, are you free, free of urges and hungers and cravings you don't where they come from, which govern your life.
It's a battle son be on the winning side, cause the battles already won.

De ja vu could be a chemical accident in our brains- where the hippocampus, which controls memory, accidently sends an experience into the long term memory, instead of the short term- therefore giving us the feeling that it has happened before. I'm not an expert on the matter- that's just my theory.

Electrical short circuit in the brain. Deja-vu is when we find a situation familiar but can't place it. it is because our brains aren't perfect and don't get it right all the time.
The interesting question is to explain pre-cognition without God....
