Cucumbers lose all flavor, shape, texture and nutrients when cooked.

They are best used when chopped, mixed with vinegar and lemon juice and put on top of a mild fish.

Never heard of cooked cucumbers - In Georgia, we eat them raw or pickled. Cucumber salad is wonderful in the summertime. Take fresh cucumbers & slice thinly. Add sliced onions, mustard seed, white vinager & sugar. Serve with BBQ or burgers or makes a cool snack by itself. Will keep in the fridge for about a week, so make plenty.

Cucumber Soup. Can't find the recipe, but I know you peel, cube, and cook in chicken stock. Then you puree it, add sweet cream and nutmeg, and refrigerate. Serve chilled.

I've heard of cooking them in various sauces. I, personally, like them with tomatoes and garlic sauce or ranch dressing.

Steam them, or the best is to add them to a stir fry. Take out the seeds!
