I look for things like if he talks to me like an equal, is he interested in me like I am in him? Does he make eye contact? Does he ask questions, try to joke around? After just meeting him, I like to know about his background, does he like/want kids/pets, does he get along with his family, etc? I know the kids question is kinda soon, but it would be nice if I do want kids and he's so totally against it, I might not want to even persue a relationship, become emotionally involved and end up heartbroken when we come to that point in the relationship. But first thing being first, he has to be honest, open, and respectful.... and still have a nice personality.
