I think the traditional argument has to do with "free will" though
that seems to be inconsistant with the concept that God is
omnipotent.
However...
Do not look for any organized relgion's doctrine to be entirely
self-consistant.
That's not what religion is for.
Religion offers spiritual guidance, gives you a sense of community
and a common sense of purpose.
None of the big religions are entirely free of inconsistancies.

Because God is none of those things and doesn’t in fact exist. The Bible is just a man-made play script, with several actors God, Devil, Jesus, Satan, Adam, Eve etc, and of course some intriguing imaginary places like Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and Limbo.
I certainly don’t believe in the Bible and I doubt any reasonably intelligent person would either. However, if you view the Bible as a man-made play script, with several actors God, Devil, Jesus, Satan, Adam, Eve, Noah, and so on, then you can certainly start to see a clever interwoven plot, that the audience is unaware of. It’s really just a drama thriller with clever twists.
You see, if you seriously think about it in an unbiased manner, then clearly the actor God in the Bible could really be the Devil, and the audience (religious believers) are being sucked into being the bad guys, who then use religion to get everyone fighting each other.
On the other hand, the more intelligent audience (Atheists) spot the plot and try their best to teach believers that this is just nonsense, stop getting sucked in. Some people have over time decided that the play is real. That's very sad.
The Bible is really just a fake story, perhaps a bit like the Loch Ness monster tales.
When we pass on information to another (example: story, joke, description of something etc) by the time these details are passed on by word of mouth, interpreted by others, and then written down, the final details are typically quite different than the original information.
Since the Bible is just a man-made story passed down over many years in various forms, the chance of it being accurate in any shape or form is remote.
There are people who swear blind that the Loch Ness monster exists regardless of all the evidence to the contrary, but a fence post bobbing up and down in the Loch does the trick. Similarly there are people who swear blind that God exists and the Bible is fact, yet there isn’t one blind bit of evidence to support such theories.
Biblical tales are really no different than Loch Ness monster tales, just the era is different.

I'm a christian. Free will insist that you can choose. Meaning there is more than one option. So every person must choose between God (only through Christ) or to follow their own ideas. And since humans are wrong alot, I'm going with God on this one. And being born with the ability to sin??? Yes, we all have that ability, but it is up to each and every one of us to make a decision. Do I want to follow this lifestyle and die, or follow the lifestyle he set out for us and live? I believe that for us to sit here and put God who is an infinite, all powerful being into human terms is pretty stupid. There's no way that we can ever describe God perfectly, and there's no sense asking questions with no answer. But if you do have some more questions, email me, i'd love to hear/answer them.

We weren't built with the capability to sin, it was free choice/will.God is all powerful and He is all knowing and He is Love too. Where would u be if God hadn't cre8d mankind. U wouldn't even b asking this ques. The wages of sin is death, so says the book of Romans, really becos of sin we deserve to die, but God gave His son to die for us so that we may be saved thro faith in Christ Jesus. Altho God knew that we were going to sin He made us neway becos He also knew that His love would bring us back to Him in the end. For Christ so loved us in that while we were yet sinners He died for us. Aren't u glad He gave us the benefit of a doubt eventho He knew that some of us would refuse Him? The ans to ur ques. friend is Love unconditional!

God gave Adam and Eve the CHOICE...they chose to sin against God, therefore condeming the rest of us. We are not perfect, but God loves us and if we admit that we're a sinner, believe that Jesus died for our sins, and commit our lives to him, we'll be saved and God will "forgive and forget" our sins.

Because God wants you to CHOOSE to do the right thing, not be forced into it. Try not to listen to the nay sayers, they haven't got a prayer, just kidding. Personally I would rather live my life as though there is a God and when I die find out there isn't , than live my life as if there isn't and when I die find out there is ! Everyone has evidence of God in their life but, for some, their "ego" just won't allow them to see it. Good thing for them God will never give up.

if there is indeed a god which i believe there is but I'm not sure which religion to believe in him if i believe any religion which i don't he or she gave us free will to make choices and mistakes to be able to learn so we can teach others by example, its only a mistake or sin if you don't learn from the experience and when we learn those experiences become a crucial part of this journey called life

He gave us free will so we could CHOOSE Him.
we do have to make choices to sin or not to sin... in the case where we choose to sin, He gives us a choice to accept Christ and repent.
i pray you make a choice to keep searching with an open heart.
God bless.
