I have the same problem...Usually I try to deep condition at least once a week. I normally use Aussie 3-minute Miracle stuff...but yesterday I got Paul Mitchell's Super Strong Treatment and my hair feels great...
Also, try using a wide-toothed comb. Much better than a regular comb or brush.

You might need to try some things for African hair that will help control the frizz and help form the curls while letting it still look natural. It's not a good idea to brush curly hair once it has dried tho because then you end up with a fro (believe me, I know). Or you can try some serums like frizz ease and then use a mousse or gel depending on how much control and/or hold you need. You might also want to consider a new cut that will work better for your hair type. Layers are good for curly hair. Embrace the insanity that is your hair and go with it :) some girls have wild big curly hair and it looks hot.

I forget what it's called, but it's a chemical treatment, done by a pro in a salon and it'll just make coarse or thick hair much more managable. They'll leave it on a little while if you want to keep your waves or longer if you want permanently straight hair. I've seen a few done at the salon I go to and it gives the hair a beautiful natural sheen and makes drying time super fast!

i do not comprehend why human beings do not say that, yet they might want to. I positioned on my hair organic for the most area, yet each and every so often i will straighten it. i imagine all women human beings straighten their hair because it provides extra styling recommendations. The poster that stated that black women human beings capture flack even if that is instantly or organic from black human beings more effective than some thing else is ideal!

....I get what ur saying. All I can tell you it to get it wet and put mousse in it. Sometimes certain gels work but mousse solves everything: shape, texture, body, frizz, and even those wavy parts. After every shower brush it out, flip it over and shake it. then get upright and scrunch it [it meaning ur hair] and then apply the mousse scrunching it in. but you'll want to wash our hair everyday or else it looks greasy and bad. lol good luck
