My worst symptom is fear of making a scene. It sends you straight to your safest place, whether you are ready to go there or not. The blood pounds thru your heart and head, and you know if you don't get to that safe place you will go crazy, or worse, just keel over and die. Everyone is watching you, or talking about you, or laughing about you. You are sure you forgot to put some of your clothes on right, or your hair is a fright.
Panic attacks are real, and they are debilitating.

The tingling sensation in the fingers and even the tip of the nose and lips for some people, are some of many possible feelings during a panic attack as well as feeling numb in the limbs.

Worst for me is not being able to breathe, which just brings on MORE panic.

The horrible shaking is the worst experience for me - along with feeling like I am just about to die right there on the spot. It's agonizing.

had the worst last night!! went to the ER.. veins in my neck felt like they where going to pop out, pressure on my neck and chest like i couldn't swallow, dizzy, chills, heart palpitation, (150 bpm) tingling finger tips, and weakness, especially in mt arms.feeling like i was going to die. they gave me xanax .. it helped. going to follow up.. and get help this time, never got help before because i was always able to calm my self, or know what was causing the stress (like a crowded room ect) and would remove my self from the situation...last night it blindsided me and i didn't know what i was worried or anxious about!!!
